A POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH POSITION In SOFTWARE SECURITY 


The Software Behaviour Analysis (SBA) research group at Concordia University, Montreal, Canada is seeking applications for a post-doctoral position in Software Security with an emphasis on "Tracing Techniques for Anomaly Detection in a Redundant and Diverse Environment? , starting February 2011. 
This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on a large collaborative project involving industry, government, and other research institutions.



The Software Behaviour Analysis research group specializes in techniques and tools that permit the understanding of the behavioural aspects of software systems through tracing and run-time monitoring techniques. Your role will be to investigate techniques that permit the detection of system anomalies through tracing and run-time monitoring in a redundant and diverse environment. You should also be willing to participate in empirical studies as well as in the design of new tools. 


Applicants should have a PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or in an equivalent field with a strong research and technical background in software security and dynamic analysis of software systems through tracing and run-time monitoring. Good knowledge of redundant and diverse architectures and the Linux kernel are valuable assets. 


Applicants should also have strong communication skills in English (the language of instruction at Concordia) and be willing to work in a team, and to assist graduate students.
